Service

Giving back through Community Service is very important to my family.  Through church, Scouts, BETA Club, and even on our own, we have been involved in helping others with food and happiness since I was a baby.   My first experience helping others was being in a Halloween costume parade and
giving out candy at a local nursing home.  Taking care of our community in many different ways is important.  We had first hand experience on the
receiving end of help when our house flooded in Harvey.

SEARCH Houston

Our family had fun searching for people who might need the help and delivering our bags to them.

I helped mom put together a bowling game and ran a Halloween booth at a children's shelter associated with SEARCH Houston

The Food Bank is a staple in our service.  We've helped clean products, put together emergency food boxes for Hurricane Harvey victims, stuffed bags for the school Backpack Buddy program and been on box recycling duty.

Our family has been helping CCSC (Christian Community Service Center) for years.  One of the biggest events is collecting food bags before Thanksgiving at our church.  It's a big and fun endeavor.
